Part I: The Student-Scholars
It was a quiet and listless day
the student-scholars moved to and fro
with no special idea in mind
except the fulfillment of the longing
for more excitement and happiness
in a life that existed without hate,
A life that could not be
for the legions of Rome and Carthage
had shown that life is but one,
a long path of misery and shame,
of victories and more obvious defeats
in which man gained nothing,
But more to reality lost the essence
of life in which love played strongly,
in which all men gather for feasting
and celebrate the overthrow of Death,
and the eventual crowing of Peace.
Bt a life such as this was one
that was hard to come by or obtain
When all mankind was shameful
of their deeds and foul actions
That had corroded the earth
and had even left the heavens
in a state which could not be left,
For man the killer cannot live
beside man the peaceful one,
And man the fool cannot
coexist beside man the wise
And men realize that the fulfillment
of their Dream can only come
When all men lay down their arms
and speak to one another in tones that
befit peaceful and kind beings
Who wish war to end
and who pray for the eventual
crowning of the Kingdom of Peace.
As the student-scholars dream
of such a world, they only
hope for the best and cry to the heavens
for help, but receive none
Because only they can rise to the Cause,
only they can begin the Great Revolution
when all mankind shall stand up for themselves
and rejoice, for they are the ones
who shall experience
The crowning of the Universe
when the Kingdom of Good
and the universal ones
shall unite in the coronation
of the Kingdom of Peace.
